Cheapest way to surf frequently while staying in Paris?

I am researching in Paris this summer for 2 months, June and July. I like to surf and have heard amazing things about France's surf in the summer. I know Bordeaux is a nice city on the coast, but researching online informs me that traveling between Paris and Bordeaux is pricy (the TGV gets you there in 3 hrs but its like 60-80 euros each way-- too much for one surf session). Is there a nice cheap travel method to get me to a surf spot on the coast for the weekends?

SNCF (French railways network) has special fidelity programs for frequent travellers, most of all if you're going all the time to the same destination.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to travel by coach which would be cheaper.

Fast trains are expensive. Bordeaux or Biarritz are far from Paris.

Try to book now - asap - your tickets for July as during summer holidays it's difficult to find a seat.

The surf areas are on the south east coast which are quite a way from Paris. To reach Bordeaux you can still try the cheap flights but unless you find a special discount you have to count around 100 Euros for a one way trip. The other way of travelling (regular train, coach) means a travel time one way between 6 to 8 hours. Bordeaux is 600 kms from Paris by road.

For the TGV, if you take your ticket long in advance and manage to travel outside the peak hours you can get some good deals.

You can also try the covoiturage, people travelling by car and offering a seat in the car for a certain amount of money. You need to speak French.
